About Us

Thanks to the experience accumulated over many years of work and the absolute dedication to the craft of terrazzo flooring, Asin Erminio srl is able to execute and satisfy every request with Venetian flooring made using any type of binder:

calce-spenta

Slaked Lime

Venetian flooring in slaked lime represents the true Venetian terrazzo, faithfully reproducing the technique dating back over 5 centuries ago.
cemento

Cement

Venetian cement flooring replaced the lime technique at the beginning of the 20th century, with faster and less expensive systems than the original.
resina epossidica

Epoxy Resin

Venetian flooring in epoxy resin allows modern materials to solve time and thickness issues, while respecting the traditional soft and chromatic effect.

Until the end of the 1970s, the Asin company carried out its work almost exclusively in Venice; subsequently, ever-increasing work requests from all over Italy and also from abroad led the company to split its activities, opening a warehouse-storage-workshop also on the Venetian mainland.

The variety and originality of our creations are able to satisfy any requirement of the most diverse clientele, from tradition enriched with borders and classic rosettes to the most modern and designer flooring.

Values

Asin continues to make all its experience available to designers and clients to provide them with the highest quality.

At the Service of Design, or when "the Idea takes Shape"

Advice and suggestions are very useful to an architect who does not have in-depth knowledge of “substrate,” “stabilidura,” “granulometry,” “marble chips,” “Venetian terrazzo,” “bindello,” “filettatura.”

Venetian terrazzo lends itself to any type of design, from classic flooring to modern flooring to experimental design flooring. The only limit is the designer’s imagination.

Asin is a “guarantee” not only for the architect who relies on them, but also for their client.

Asin’s guarantee does not stop at floor design but extends to execution: our floors are made entirely on site without prefabricated elements.

Our History

For over 80 years, the Asin family has passed down from father to son the ancient and typical tradition of Venetian terrazzo and is consequently among the oldest companies in the sector present in the city of Venice.

History of the Asin Family,
Terrazzo Craftsmen in Venice

Thanks to the experience accumulated over many years of work, and the absolute dedication to the craft of “Terrazzo Craftsman,” the company is able to execute Venetian flooring both using cement binders and using exclusively slaked lime, faithfully respecting the original techniques of Venetian terrazzo.

In the historic center of Venice, in the Cannaregio district, is the company’s headquarters: the office, the warehouse for storing materials and equipment, the workshop where samples are prepared, the subsequent preparation of aggregates, the development of decorations resulting from a perfect combination and collaboration between the architect’s creativity and the craftsman’s manual skill.

Until the end of the 1970s, the Asin company carried out its work almost exclusively in Venice; subsequently, ever-increasing work requests from all over Italy and also from abroad led the company to “split” its activities, opening a warehouse/storage/workshop also on the Venetian mainland, for obvious reasons of practicality and convenience related to the supply of materials and their subsequent distribution.
Palaces, museums, hotels, prestigious villas, but also private homes are the places where the Asin company carries out its work: these are important restoration projects of antique floors as well as the creation of new Venetian terrazzo.
